I thought I would bring this thread onto our forum as most do it.

Right now I am listening to Default "Wasting My Time". Then I think I might enjoy a Three Days Grace or maybe some Rush or something.

well james, i suppose i'll be the first to give a non-smart-alecky answer and i'll pop my Talkasheville cherry at the same time:
i'm listening to SeepeopleS "Apocalypse Cow" at the moment. Just saw them last night at Grey Eagle and it was an amazing show. if anyone can put Asheville on the "indie-rock" map, it's these guys. Great songs, great sound, great visuals.

other local bands i've been digging lately: Nevada, Future Islands, Bandazian, Jason Ross Martin, The Cheeksters. lots of remarkable talent in this town just waiting to erupt.

Cool....I use to play SeePeoples when we had the internet radio station. By Morning, is also a great band and one of my favorites. You can listen to a few of their tunes in our music section.

I agree this town has a very vibrant music scene. If you know some of the people in these great locally talented bands please tell them about TalkAsheville and its new music section for local and regional musicians.

I'm listening to 105.9 The Mountain as Rex Rudd is off the air for the day and I forgot what the web address is for the internet station he is DJing on.

Hiya James!

I am doing a morning show (as I did for Asheville's Classic Replay) from 8am to 1 pm weekday mornings at 7890radio.com out of Charlotte.

The station is not too bad, but it is no CRR
