TalkAsheville is a community driven website developed to bring people together throughout Asheville and the entire Western North Carolina region. Our primary goal is to organize an online meeting point for community members while also planning local events and live meets.

Our motto is "Get Local, Be Social" because we encourage people to socialize locally with real people. Places like MySpace are great to foster online relationships and friendships with people around the world that you may never meet, our goal is to allow our members to foster local relationships with the chance to meet for social events.

How to get involved?

Getting involved online is the first step to meeting people locally and creating friendships and networking for both personal and professional contacts.

• Use the Forums to discuss topics of interest to you.
• Invite members to be your friend at TalkAsheville
• Schedule events in the public event area. These do not have to be events you are organizing, use the events area to share information about community events that you may be attending or have read about.
• Classifieds are available to sell, trade or seek goods and services within the community.
